Enterprise
software too difficult for scheduling crews for daily operations?

Challenge at
Utilities Today
While
Engineering is able to use existing legacy
systems, GIS applications, or
Customer Information Systems (CIS) to generate
service and work orders, these systems are
difficult for daily scheduling and operations
activity.
CrewManager's
Role
CrewManager fills in the missing link in most
existing enterprise software at Utilities - work
order management, crew
scheduling, timekeeping, reporting, and job progress
coordination. Weekly meetings become productive
with CrewManager projected on a screen, helping
everyone coordinate work, schedules and
progress.
Integration
Utilities are using CrewManager as a stand-alone
Work Management System (WMS) or in conjunction with their
incumbent systems. With CrewManager's
powerful Integration Module, work-orders can be
automatically brought into CrewManager from
external systems giving Operations the ability to now
schedule all work on CrewManager's user-friendly
drag and drop scheduler. Similarly, timesheets
from CrewManager can be sent to a utility's
payroll system.

Dispatching
Dispatchers take
trouble calls in a database-driven module,
dispatch trucks assigned to that region, and
close out trouble tickets. A total cost of
outage is calculated by CrewManager based on
utility parameters.
Reports
Spending
days and vast amounts of effort to generate
reports is a thing of the past. With the click
of the mouse, view and print numerous reports
from CrewManager such as labor forecast,
workload vs labor availability, jobs completed,
number of poles changed out/replaced, and many
more reports pertinent to you using the Report Writer
tool.
