In the rental industry, dealers have customers. Customers need
equipment. Equipment need servicing, servicing means parts, Parts need ordering,
Ordering needs vendors, vendors need payment. Payment require revenue. All of
these things need tracking and will quickly CONSUME your staff and flood them
with information and methods to track all this information.
When we analyzed all of our departments, we realized that our team were buried in spread sheets.
Our company has spent so much time tracking all of this information that we have had little time
to spend in the area that matters most, taking the best possible care of the

tools in our organization. I immediately put out a call to UBS President
Pradeep Batra and explained our problem. Pradeep assured me that I could
throw away my bucket, and stop bailing.
