Unique Business Systems has been
providing business management
systems to photo labs for over
seven years, primarily in retail
labs. We have hundreds of labs
using our FotoTrace and Power
Lab systems, more than any other
software vendor in the photo
industry. Although our FotoTrace
system meets some of the demands
of both mini labs and commercial
labs, we know the business needs

For the past two years we’ve
created a new Windows 98/NT
management system, Power Lab, to
replace our DOS product,
FotoTrace. Early in 1998 we
began working with commercial
lab owners to develop a new
Windows based management system
specifically for commercial
labs.

DETAILED TRACKING BY
DEPARTMENT – Tracks through
definable departments with
multiple employee and date/time
stamp logs for department and
production productivity reports.
TRACKING ORIGINAL MATERIALS – Original materials can be
logged with every order for
identification, tracking and
return.
DECISION TREE ORDER ENTRY –
Allows you to easily identify
items and the options required
to produce the correct product
or service. Allows the system to
automatically modify prices of
jobs based on the options
selected.
BLANKET PO NUMBERS – Tracks
a declining Purchase Order
balance over multiple invoices.
Keeps track of P.O. expiration
dates and warns if balances are
less than the job amount.
MULTIPLE "BILL TO" & "SHIP TO" - Allows shipping
of completed jobs to various
customer locations. Also allows
you to select a different "Bill
to / Invoice to" address,
depending on your customer’s
preferences.
PRODUCTION TIMES – Allows
you to define minimum and
standard turnaround times for
each job/service.
JOB SPLITS – Allows
distribution of jobs into
manageable pieces for
production.
