April 4, 2007: Australia’s only publicly listed global event services group, Staging Connections Group Limited (SCGL) today announced the selection of R2 from Unique Business Systems, as the software system that will power the global operations of the group. R2 is the leading software for Rentals, Labor and Sales for the entertainment, events, staging and audio-visual industries.

SCGL operates from over 90 locations worldwide and provides totally integrated end-to-end event production, staging, exhibition and specialist technical services.

David Hackshall (Head of IT) commented, “We required a specific solution that would span our complex global operations and would be totally scaleable to our ongoing growth aspirations. After reviewing numerous options, including customized ERP systems and developing our own systems, we selected the R2 application in conjunction with the Oracle E-Business suite."

The out-of-the-box functionality covered the core operational needs for staging, rental, labor, inventory management, reporting and operational accounting. Additionally integration with other systems gave the company the advantage of being able to use best-of-breed systems for specialized areas like CRM, HR and Financials.
