Forward-only Invoicing
Now you have options to
prevent employees from aborting invoices and from removing
lines. When an item is voided the item becomes inactive but
remains on the invoice. Inactive lines print and are saved in
the history as a void. This is a great theft deterrent!
Extended Rental Cards
Now you can offer your customers unlimited monthly rentals
with no extended viewing fees at a monthly rate just like your
big competitors. You specify which price codes apply, when the
card expires, and how many movies they can have out at a time.
Punch Cards
Increase customer loyalty with prepaid rental punch cards. You
can specify how many punches, which movies they can be used
for, and when they expire.
Copy
Statistics Report
If you use the Title Stats report when editing a title, you'll
love this new report. We've added additional pages that list
the detail on each copy. Now you'll be able to make fast
informed buy/sell decisions each week as this report helps you
to determine how many copies to sell off.
Recreate
Period Counters
Ever had an employee reset all of your period counters? Didn't
have a current backup or your system from the night before?
You probably had one less employee that day. Now you can
recreate your period counters and restore that valuable
reporting information into your system. A new utility in 10.2
allows you to specify the date range for each period counter,
it then retrieves the information from your invoices records,
calculates the totals and restores them into each item and
customer record.
Sales
Promotions on Merchandise Items
Now you can setup price promotions for each merchandise item.
Simply specify the beginning and ending dates, the promotional
price and VSS will do the rest!
Quick Items
We've replaced those
old Miscellaneous charges with a list of Quick Items from the
merchandise file that you can display and select from the
invoice screen. Now you can departmentalize things like
pay-outs, pay-ins, miscellaneous transactions, use them as
line item comments on an invoice, see them in merchandise,
print them on the invoice and they are stored in the
customer's history.
Flexible
Merchandise Items
Each merchandise item now has options to prompt the clerk for
a quantity, price, and/or description. This is a great feature
for items purchased in large quantities or where the price is
unknown for an item until it's sold. Items can also be grouped
(increment the quantity) or listed separately on the invoice
when multiple items of the same ID number are entered on the
invoice screen.
E-Mail Address
Gather e-mail address from customers with options to "opt-out"
of mailers if they choose. The addresses can be exported to a
file and imported into popular e-mail programs. Use this
feature to send bulk mailers to your customers without
spending money on stamps.

Enhancements
Now there are six membership levels with a quick-sell
membership button, drill down reports based on membership
type, and new pop-up box when memberships expire.
