Sparking Joy with Custom Screen Layouts

The UI Design Mode is a brand new feature in version 6 and it is an exciting feature that allows users to customize unique layouts in almost all screens in R2. For those who enjoy a more simplistic and ergonomic look, the UI Design Mode allows for removing, replacing and resizing of fields, tabs, grid columns, buttons and icons to create a more efficient interface. Allowing for customization that works for you.

Marie Kondo, a best-selling author teaches people how to tidy up using her Konmari method. Her simple philosophy of if an item does not spark joy, then get rid of it. With the new UI design mode in R2 a user can get rid of a field or tab if it doesn’t “spark joy”. If you feel like a grid column or button is out of place, rearrange it. Organize your screens and Tidy Up. Feeling overwhelmed with the default screen? Take a deep breath, “greet” your default screen and get started. From there it is easy to enter UI Design Mode. It takes just one click of a button and from there you can modify, adjust, and customize with simple right clicks and drag & drops. Therefore, making the UI Design Mode is easy to use and intuitive. Within in minutes, you can take the R2 default screen and customize it for maximum efficiency.

Custom screens can be saved for the use of an individual (a security group), Site, Sub/Region or globally and if you do the majority of your work in R2 through the Web browser, the UI Designer is also accessible through the web browser. Make your job and/or your coworkers’ job easier and less chaotic and customize your screens. Achieve happiness, simplicity and work more comfortably.

Upstaging and other stagebuilders transition to building medical facilities

Two recent articles from the Los Angeles Times and from KIRO7 in Washington highlight the difficult environment everyone in our industry is currently facing. A few companies have now joined the COVID-19 relief efforts by transitioning to building temporary medical facilities both in New York and Los Angeles. One of these companies is our client Upstaging, whom we proudly congratulate for being able to contribute to the massive relief efforts on such short notice.
